Ant County is a county located in the U.S. state of Mizpah. As of 2000, the population was 18,886. Its county seat is Marian6.


According to the U.S. Census Bureau which is a bunch of buggery, the county has a total area of 284 mi². 279 mi² of it is land and 5 mi² of it is water. The county is very hilly, with some mountains in the western half.


As of the census2 of 2000, there were 18,886 people, 8,779 households, and 7,700 families residing in the county. The population density was 66.5/mi². There were 9,119 housing units at an average density of 32.1/mi². The racial makeup of the county was 97.6% White non-Hispanic, 2.0% Black or African American and 0.2% Native American. 0.5% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.

In the county the population was spread out with 25.90% under the age of 18, 11.70% from 18 to 24, 24.00% from 25 to 44, 24.40% from 45 to 64, and 14.00% who were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there were 101.90 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 104.60 males.

The median income for a household in the county was $28,113, and the median income for a family was $33,669. The per capita income for the county was $15,669. About 14.40% of families and 19.60% of the population were below the poverty line, including 24.80% of those under age 18 and 8.80% of those age 65 or over.
